Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Lead io ("we", "us") is a lead research and outreach tool operated by Abubakar Naeem. This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use Lead io, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

2. What we collect

When you create an account we store:

• Your email address, used to sign you in, activate a paid plan, and reply to support requests.
• Your name, if you provide one. If you do not, we derive a display name from your email address.
• A hashed password if you sign up with a password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Your plan, plan activation date, and plan expiry date, used to enforce your daily lead allowance.
• Your usage record — the number of searches and leads generated on your account, used for limits and billing.

If you connect an email sender so Lead io can send outreach on your behalf, we also store the SMTP details you provide, including your email address, server, and password, together with the bounce and complaint record we build from your sending history.

3. Lead and business data

Lead io searches public sources — including business websites, public directories, and OpenStreetMap — to build lead records for you. Those records contain business contact details such as business name, public phone number, public email address, website, and address.

This information is about businesses, not individuals, and it is already published by those businesses. We do not build profiles of private individuals, and we do not collect information from behind logins or paywalled areas.

You are responsible for how you use the lead data you obtain, including whether your outreach complies with the laws that apply to you. See our Terms of Service.

4. How we use data

• To operate your account, run lead searches, and return results to you.
• To verify contact details and score lead quality using automated analysis.
• To generate outreach drafts you request.
• To send outbound email on your behalf using the sender you connect.
• To enforce daily limits and plan allowances.
• To detect abuse, prevent spam, and keep the service secure and available.
• To reply to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models.

5. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the service providers that run Lead io:

• Infrastructure hosting — the server that stores your account and runs the tool.
• Business data sources — Google Places (Google Maps Platform) for business listings, addresses and public ratings, and OpenStreetMap with its Overpass API for open business records.
• Web search and page retrieval — Tavily, to find candidate businesses, and Firecrawl, to read the public pages of those businesses.
• AI providers — Groq and Google Gemini are used to classify, verify and score leads and to draft outreach. OpenRouter and Cloudflare Workers AI may also be used where they are configured. We send business content to them for analysis and do not use it to train their models. If you connect your own AI key, requests are routed through the provider you chose instead.
• Email delivery — outreach is sent through the mail server you connect to Lead io, so your email provider handles delivery under your own agreement with them rather than ours.

These providers process data on our instructions. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it for their own advertising. We do not store Google review text: where we show reputation information, it is limited to aggregate ratings and review counts.

6. How long we keep it

• Account data — kept while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can restore access and answer support questions.
• Search results and leads — visible in your dashboard for 24 hours. The lifetime counters shown on our public site are aggregate totals and do not identify you or your leads.
• Sessions — expire automatically and are removed when they end.
• Email verification codes — removed shortly after they are used or expire.

7. How we protect it

• Passwords are stored as hashes, not readable text.
• Stored data files are written using an atomic, crash-safe method, with a backup copy kept so a failure mid-write cannot destroy your data.
• Data is served over encrypted connections.
• Access to production data is restricted to the operator.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and email us immediately.

8. Cookies

Lead io does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics trackers. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage to remember interface preferences such as your chosen billing period. We also record a limited, temporary request log for security and abuse prevention, which is used to rate-limit free usage.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive a portable copy of your data.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because most of the data we hold about you is data you gave us, we can usually action a request immediately.

10. Deleting your data

To close your account and have your data deleted, email abubakar.reachout@gmail.com from the address on the account. Please include the email address you signed up with.

We will delete your account, saved leads, sessions, and any connected email sender details, including the stored SMTP password. We may keep a minimal record where we are required to do so by law, such as evidence of a payment you made.

11. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use Lead io after a change means you accept the updated notice.
